SWG shutting down in Dec to make way for SWTOR

The original MMO, Star Wars Galaxies is coming to an end on December 15th, to make way for Star Wars: The Old Republic that has yet to receive an official release date but expected for early next year. SOE promises that Galaxies will “go out with a bang with a galaxy-ending in-game event in December.” The 8 year old game has come to its end, and according to SOE’s John Smedley, the decision to end Star Wars Galaxies was a “business decision” largely related to the arrival of BioWare’s Star Wars. Below is SOE and LucasArts’ letter to fans on the game’s closure

10 Dedicated Co-op Maps for Battlefield 3

DICE has confirmed on the latest edition of the PSM3 magazine that there will be 10 maps for co-op players. The reveal of co-op mode was made back in February when the game was originally announced. Not much details were revealed then nor in the magazine other than 10 dedicated maps for co-op with 2 player support

Nintendo: ‘No Plans’ to Publish Xenoblade, Last Story in U.S.

Nintendo does not intend to release The Last Story , an acclaimed role-playing game from the creator of Final Fantasy , in America, it said Wednesday. Image courtesy Nintendo Nintendo has “no plans” to cave in to fans’ demands for a trio of Japanese Wii games, it said in a Facebook post on Wednesday. “Thank you for your enthusiasm,” read the terse post.
